When is the next Bandcamp Friday?

Bandcamp lists 6 November and 4 December as the remaining 2026 dates, and Bandcamp Daily calls 4 December the final one of 2026. Each runs from midnight to 11:59 pm Pacific Time.

What happens on Bandcamp Friday?

Bandcamp waives its revenue share for sales inside the window, so more of each purchase reaches the artist or label. Bandcamp says transaction fees still apply.

Are prices lower on Bandcamp Friday?

Bandcamp's help page describes a waived revenue share, not a discount for buyers. Artists and labels set their own prices, so a release costs what the artist or label charges that day.

Does a purchase a minute after midnight count?

Only sales inside the window count. Bandcamp's help page says purchases outside it can't be added to the fundraiser afterwards.

Have the 2027 Bandcamp Friday dates been announced?

Not as of 4 November 2026. Bandcamp Daily says the 2027 schedule is "coming soon".

Summary

Bandcamp Friday is the day Bandcamp waives its revenue share, so more of what you pay goes to the artist or label. Two dates are left in 2026: Friday 6 November and Friday 4 December, the last one of the year. Each runs from midnight to 11:59 pm Pacific Time. Prices don't drop for buyers; the point is where the money goes. For a DJ, that makes it the day to buy the Bandcamp releases you've already decided on, not a day to start digging.

Last checked: 4 November 2026.

Bandcamp Friday dates for 2026

Bandcamp announced eight dates for 2026 on its blog in December 2025, and its help center lists the same eight:

Month	Date	Status (4 Nov 2026)
February	Friday 6 February	Passed
March	Friday 6 March	Passed
May	Friday 1 May	Passed
August	Friday 7 August	Passed
September	Friday 4 September	Passed
October	Friday 2 October	Passed
November	Friday 6 November	Next
December	Friday 4 December	Last of 2026

Bandcamp Daily, in a post dated 2 November 2026, says the 2027 schedule is "coming soon". We'll add the dates here once Bandcamp publishes them. Every Bandcamp Friday also sits in our DJ buying and digging calendar.

What time does Bandcamp Friday start?

The window follows Pacific Time: from 12:00 am to 11:59 pm on the Friday, by the help center's wording for artists. Bandcamp's help page says "midnight to midnight PDT", but in November and December Pacific Time is on standard time (PST, UTC−8), so the window runs from 08:00 UTC on Friday to 07:59 UTC on Saturday. In Europe it starts on Friday morning and ends on Saturday morning; in Australia and East Asia most of it falls on Saturday.

Timing matters because the help page is clear that a purchase made outside the window "cannot be retroactively included in the fundraiser". If you're buying from outside the Americas, check the window in your own time zone before you check out.

What changes on the day, and what doesn't

The revenue share. Bandcamp waives its share of sales made inside the window. In its words, "Transaction fees still apply".
Prices. Artists and labels set their own prices on Bandcamp. The help page describes no buyer discount, so expect normal prices unless a label runs its own offer.
The rest of the year. Bandcamp's help page says that outside the window "80-85% of your money will still go directly to the artist". Bandcamp Friday is a bigger share, not the only fair day.
Traffic. Bandcamp warns that heavy traffic on the day can slow pages and file delivery, and its help page says: "Best advice is to wait a bit and try again."

A buying plan for DJs

Bandcamp Friday rewards a list made in advance. Picking tracks under time pressure is how you end up with releases you never play.

Collect during the month. When you find a release on Bandcamp, add it to your wishlist (the heart icon below the cover art) or to the list you already keep for every store. Our Bandcamp wishlist guide covers how the wishlist behaves.
Listen before Friday. Go through the list in the week before and cut anything you wouldn't play in a set. What's left is your buy list.
Pick the format once. Bandcamp's help center lists MP3 V0, MP3 320, FLAC, AAC, Ogg Vorbis, ALAC, WAV and AIFF. WAV and AIFF keep full quality for club systems and MP3 320 saves space. Pick one and stay consistent with the rest of your files.
Buy inside the window. Work through the list in one sitting on the Friday, in Pacific Time.
Mark what you bought. Tick each release off your list so it doesn't come back next month.

For tracks that aren't on Bandcamp, the same list carries over to the other stores. See where to buy DJ music for the main options.

Doing this with CatchIt!

CatchIt! organizes your digging. It's a Mac app for DJs, with the free iPhone app, that keeps one list of the tracks you've heard and decided to buy.

Capture during the month. The free iPhone app's Shazam button recognizes a track you hear and sends it to the Mac Inbox, and Save to CatchIt! takes track links from Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube and SoundCloud. See Capturing tracks.
Decide before Friday. In the Inbox, Return keeps a track (green) and Space rejects it (red). Kept tracks move to the Wishlist.
Find it on Bandcamp. Each Wishlist row has search links for Bandcamp, Beatport, YouTube and Google, searching "artist title". CatchIt! doesn't sell music or check a store's catalog for you.
Mark it bought. The Done flag marks a track as bought, and the Status chips filter Pending and Done.
