When is the next Bandcamp Friday?

Friday 6 November 2026, then Friday 4 December 2026, the last one of the year. Each runs from midnight to 11:59 pm Pacific Time.

Amsterdam Dance Event announced that ADE 2027 takes place from 20 to 24 October 2027.

How often is this calendar updated?

Every month, and whenever an official source changes a date. The "Last checked" line shows when every date was last confirmed.

Summary

Most of a DJ's year runs on two loops: hearing tracks you want (at festivals, in clubs, in sets online) and buying the ones you'll play. This calendar lists the dates that drive both from November 2026 to October 2027: the last two Bandcamp Fridays of 2026 (6 November and 4 December), Black Friday on 27 November, New Year's Eve set prep, and the 2027 dates for Movement (29 to 31 May), Sónar (17 to 19 June), Dekmantel (29 July to 2 August) and ADE (20 to 24 October). Every Bandcamp Friday and festival date comes from the organizer's own site, linked under Sources.

Last checked: 4 November 2026. We check every date monthly and when an organizer announces a change.

November and December 2026: buying season

Bandcamp Fridays, 6 November and 4 December. On these days Bandcamp waives its revenue share for sales from midnight to 11:59 pm Pacific Time, so more of each purchase reaches the artist or label. Bandcamp notes that transaction fees still apply, and buyer prices stay whatever the artist or label sets. Bandcamp Daily calls 4 December "the final Bandcamp Friday of 2026". Our Bandcamp Friday guide covers the time window and a buying plan.

Black Friday, 27 November. Online music stores sometimes run sales around Black Friday, but we only list a sale once a store announces it on its own site, with its own dates and terms. As of 3 November 2026, this calendar lists none. Whatever the discount, it's only worth something on tracks you've already listened to and decided to keep.

New Year's Eve set prep, December. If you're playing on 31 December, give yourself time to buy, tag and check the tracks in your DJ software before the night, rather than buying on the day. Our guide to preparing tracks for a DJ set walks through it.

2027 festivals: where the IDs come from

Festivals are where many DJs hear the tracks they go on to buy. None of the festivals below sells music; they're on this calendar because the weeks after each one are when DJs hunt down IDs.

Festival	2027 dates	Where	Official source
Movement	Saturday 29 to Monday 31 May (Memorial Day weekend)	Hart Plaza, Detroit	movementfestival.com
Sónar	17, 18 and 19 June; Sónar by Night on 18 and 19 June	Barcelona	sonar.es
Dekmantel Festival	29 July to 2 August	Amsterdamse Bos, Amsterdam	dekmantel.com
Amsterdam Dance Event	20 to 24 October	Venues across Amsterdam	amsterdam-dance-event.nl

Line-ups and set times change, so check the organizer's site before you travel. We don't copy line-ups or tracklists onto this page.

How to turn a festival into a buy list

On the night, capture first. When a track grabs you, identify it there and then, or note the time and the DJ. Our guide to identifying tracks in a DJ set covers what works in a loud room and what doesn't.
After the weekend, find the sets. Many festival sets are recorded or get a tracklist from the community. Finding and buying tracks from a DJ set explains where to look.
Listen, then decide. Go through everything you captured and keep only what you'd play.
Buy from the list. Use the stores you already use, or see where to buy DJ music. If a release is on Bandcamp, the next Bandcamp Friday is a good day to buy it.

Doing this with CatchIt!

CatchIt! organizes your digging. It's a Mac app for DJs, with the free iPhone app, that keeps everything you capture in one Inbox until you decide.

At the festival. The free iPhone app's Shazam button recognizes a track and sends it to the Mac Inbox under Mobile Shazams. Shazam needs a network connection, so a track can't be recognized with no signal. See Capturing tracks.
After the weekend. Import a set's tracklist page from 1001tracklists, TrackID.net, set79 or Djooni, or paste a SoundCloud set link to identify every track in it. See Importing tracklists.
Decide, then buy. Return keeps a track (green) and Space rejects it (red). Kept tracks go to the Wishlist, where each row has search links for Bandcamp, Beatport, YouTube and Google, and a Done flag for tracks you've bought.
